The Bakersfield Bacon and Craft Beer Festival is a local food and beer festival with a purpose of raising money for local non-profits. While we will absolutely bring our attendees the very best bacon inspired foods and local craft beers. We also maintain our focus on raising money for the organizations the festival benefits.
WHO WE SUPPORT
KT Riders - A Californian based non-profit that works with disabled children via equestrian riding.
Covenant Community Services - A local non-profit that provides hope and love to abused and neglected children.
Bakersfield Police Activities League - A non-profit that works with inner city kids
In addition we support a dozen other local children's charity organizations.
Will you be doing discounted tickets? (i.e. Groupon)
We will not be participating in Groupon, Spotted Fox, Daily Deal, Pricetrader, Your Radio Store, Bakersfield Discount deals, or any other discount sites. We only have 2500 tickets for this event and we are very confident, based on current ticket sales, that we will sell out this years festival.
What is the festival going to be like?
The Bakersfield Bacon and Craft Beer festival is like a mystical ride through a rolling field of green hops on the back of a swine during a cool fall afternoon .......except, at this festival we will drink the hops and eat the pig.
Happening at Riverwalk Park on Stockdale Hwy on a cool November day we expect temperatures to be around 75 degrees. Everything is outdoors and we will even have a live DJ playing some tasteful music at a volume level that doesn't interfere with casual conversations. We definitely want the Bacon and Craft Beer to take center stage.
We will feature up to 30 local restaurants serving up everything from bacon wrapped hot wings, bacon mac & cheese, bacon ice cream and even an entire roasted pig. Our vendors get free reign to come up with any bacon creation that they can imagine and we are just as excited as you are to find out what they come up with.
We will also feature over 50 of California's premier craft beer brewers serving up over 100 hand crafted beers. Most of our beer vendors come from areas right around Bakersfield that you will not find in any stores. For half of our craft beer vendors the only place you will be able to try their beer, outside of the Bacon and Craft Beer Festival, is their personal brewery.
Once we add in the live music and garden games like cornhole, washer toss and bull riding, you have one amazing time ahead of you for this unique festival.
We will also feature a special early admission ticket this year that will allow early access to the festival so you get to enjoy all the food and beer before everyone else gets in, plus you get a cool shirt.
Is there going to be entertainment?
YES! We will feature a slew of what we are calling "Garden Games". We will have cornhole (bean bag toss) setups, giant jenga, ladder toss, giant cornhole and new this year, LIVE MUSIC and bullriding.
